Amanda and Jordan's love story began, as they put it, "organically".  Amanda was taking classes at Cal Poly and worked as a Barista at the Starbucks in Madonna Plaza.  Jordan was working as a rural mail carrier for the post office across the street from the Starbucks.  His morning routine included a stop at the Starbucks for his favorite "Venti Pike's Place".  One morning, as he came in for his drink of choice, Amanda was working behind the counter and he immediately caught her eye...she thought he was "absolutely flawless" and had the most "beautiful eyes (she) had ever seen".  She stared at him and worked up the courage to take his order, but her friendly request only managed to garner a mumble of "Venti Pike".  As it would happen, her schedule changed and she started working nights for several months, but when she was finally put back on mornings, Jordan came in and excitedly asked "Hey! I haven't seen you in awhile, where have you been?".  All that Amanda could think was "Oh my gosh, you can talk?".  Over the next few weeks, they chatted more and more when Jordan came in, and at some point he finally gave her his phone number.  Long story short...Jordan asked Amanda to be his girlfriend on New Year's Day of 2017 and they have been madly in love ever since!

Jordan proposed to Amanda on March 25th, 2018 at the Pismo Beach Pier.  It was only three days after his birthday, so Jordan got his two older sisters to trick Amanda into thinking they were going to Pismo for a surprise party for him, which she fell for.  As Amanda and Jordan's sisters walked up the middle of the pier, there was Jordan, standing in front of 100 people with a microphone!  He had her sit in a chair right next to him as he sang Boston's "Amanda" in front of everyone!  You see, Amanda was named after that song, which made it all the more romantic.  Afterwards, he got down on one knee and proposed.  I'm sure we can all guess what Amanda's reaction was!

When asked what he loves most about Amanda, Jordan said, "There are so many qualities about Amanda that I love.  The first thing I fell in love with was her innocent nature.  She has the heart of a child, which loves unconditionally and always sees the best in people.  She is extremely nurturing to the point she actually looks forward to me being sick just so she can take care of me.  I love her goofy sense of humor that says 'I don't care how ridiculous I look, I'm having fun'! Above all else, I love the way she looks at me.  I have never experienced peering into someone's eyes and feeling so loved the way I do with Amanda.  She is my whole world and everything in it."

This is What True Love Looks Like

When asked what she loves most about Jordan, Amanda said, "Honestly, I couldn't put a list to what I love most about Jordan if I tried, because I love everything about him.  I love his laugh, I love his smile, I love his heart, which is so selfless and kind, I love his sense of humor and that he isn't afraid to be silly, I love the way he looks at me, I love how frustrated he gets at horrible drivers on the freeway, I even love when he wakes me up in the night with his snoring because it reminds me that he is there and that I will wake up next to him the next morning.  Most importantly, I love that I am his and he is mine."

Jordan and Amanda chose the Santa Maria Inn for their amazing wedding, because they loved the courtyard and the fountain.  The old world, classic style of the place stole their hearts.  It was just elegant and unique enough without being too much, and they knew thier friends and family would love it!  The both agreed that the ceremony was the most important part of the day, because it would be a merging of their two amazing families.  And a special day it was...  I, for one, had tears streaming down my face as they read their vows, which were absolutley the most heartfelt and sweet words I have heard at any wedding in a very long time.  The day was flawless, from start to finish...but how could it have been anything different for these two?  These are two of the most genuinely in love people I have every met, and I am absolutely blessed to have been able to capture their amazing wedding day.  Congratulations, Amanda and Jordan, you two are TWO in a million!
